In 2011, for the fifth consecutive year, Groupama AM has been classified by Eurofonds as the leading French asset manager in its class* for its consistent performance.

An integrated research team

The management teams rely on an internal research division, an integral part of the management process. This division consists of financial and extra-financial analysis, economic studies and financial engineering.
Groupama Asset Management’s Macroeconomic Research team designs the macroeconomic scenario that is subsequently integrated into the investment policy according to the different types of asset classes. The team regularly publishes its work and contributes on an ad hoc basis to press articles and scientific conferences.
Groupama Asset Management is equipped with a team dedicated to fundamental analysis which issues recommendations regarding sectors and companies (Equities and Credit), taking both a financial and an extra-financial approach. Within Groupama Asset Management’s research teams, the financial engineering team adds a quantitative dimension into the management of portfolios, the development of new products and the service offered to customers.

Accelerated international development

Groupama AM is growing in areas where there is demand for its know-how. For several years, the company has provided increasing support for asset management to Groupama’s international subsidiaries.
A selection of Groupama AM’s UCITS is available within insurance contracts distributed in Spain and Portugal by Groupama Seguros, In Italy by Groupama Assicurazioni, in Hungary by Groupama Garancia Biztosító and in Greece by Groupama Phoenix. Groupama AM has also increased its activity in Italy through its affiliate Groupama AM Sgr.
In 2010, Groupama AM received approval from the Swiss Financial Markets Authority (FINMA) to sell eight of its UCITS in Switzerland and from the Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (Financial Sector Oversight Commission, CSSF) to create G Fund, a multiple compartment Luxembourg SICAV. This launch will allow Groupama AM to increase its international development.
Groupama Asset Management is constructing distribution partnerships. A primary example is its work with Investeam in Canada.
