P/E ratio (Price-Earnings Ratio)
This is the relationship between the price of a share in a company and its net earnings per share. A P/E ratio of 12.5 means that the company capitalises 12.5 times its earnings. The lower the P/E, the more chance the share has of increasing its value on the market.
