Its principal activity is the provision of investment services consisting of portfolio management on behalf of third parties, Dedicated (under mandate) or collective (UCITS fund management).
The Principals for Responsible Investment were drawn up under the aegis of the Secretary General of the United Nations in 2005 by an international group of 20 institutional investors as a result of the growing importance of environmental and social issues and issues relating to corporate governance as regards investment practices. They constitute the frame of reference for the ESG criteria.
The price is the rate at which a security is listed at any given moment. The open price is the price listed at market open and the close price is that posted at market close. The price may go up or down, according to the law of supply and demand: if supply is higher than demand, the price drops; if supply is lower than demand, the price moves upwards.
A profit-sharing scheme is a bonus, linked to the performance of the company, that is distributed to employees. Provision of such a scheme is optional for the company. The bonus allocated may be collected directly by the employee (and is therefore subject to income tax) or paid into a PEE (company savings scheme) in order to benefit from reduced tax.
