Groupama Asset Management appoints Laure Mazzoléni-Robin as Control & Legal Director

Groupama Asset Management, which has now attained total assets under management of 100 billion euros, has announced the appointment of a new Director of its Control and Legal unit. Laure Mazzoléni-Robin will be in charge of the internal control, compliance, regulatory affairs and legal departments. She is a member of the Executive Committee and reports directly to Jean-Marie Catala, Deputy CEO.

Laure Mazzoléni-Robin, 50, is a graduate of the Bordeaux Management School (BEM). She has 27 years of experience in the field of financial services regulation.

In 2008, she joined Generali Investments France as director of compliance and internal control (RCCI), subsequently taking on a more international role in 2012 as Operations Manager for Generali Investments Europe.

Laure began her career in 1990 as Auditor at Salustro Reydel, before working in various capacities in the asset management industry, giving her a broad vision of the many different aspects of the profession (legal, fund management, employee savings schemes, consulting etc.).

As Jean-Marie Catala, Deputy CEO, puts it: “Laure Mazzoléni-Robin has been recruited at a critical juncture in the regulatory environment of asset managers, with the implementation of Solvency II, Basel III and MiFID II. Her multi-disciplinary profile and her solid experience in the field will help us to consolidate our strategy for meeting the regulatory challenges ahead and to better anticipate their impacts on our organization“.
