Groupama Asset Management is reinforcing its equity management team for Small and Mid Caps segment with the recruitment of Hervé Lorent

Three months after the arrival of Stéphane Fraenkel as Associate Head of Equity and Convertibles Investments, Groupama Asset Management is further reinforcing its Equity management capability: Hervé Lorent is joining the Small and Mid Caps team.

Hervé Lorent has more than 15 years of experience in high-conviction equity management, in particular at independent investment management company Equigest from 2011 to 2018, in the capacity of European Small and Mid Caps Analyst-Manager, before joining Crédit Mutuel Asset Management in 2018 in the capacity of Manager – Small Caps Europe. Here, Hervé managed and developed one of the flagship strategies of team, which focuses on the equity of small and medium-sized companies and mid-market companies eligible for the French “PEA-PME” tax incentive scheme designed to promote investment in small and mid cap companies. This strategy has enjoyed a solid performance history.

His expertise in active management and his close knowledge of the European small and mid caps market are a perfect fit for the philosophy of Groupama Asset Management, which aims to provide its investor customers with innovative solutions that generate absolute performance over the long term.

As part of the Small and Mid Caps team, Hervé Lorent will especially be responsible for the G Fund – Avenir Small Caps fund. Additionally, Stéphane Fraenkel, will co-manage the Groupama Avenir Euro and G Fund – Avenir Europe funds.

Hervé Lorent graduated from EISTI (International School of Information Processing Science), where he majored in “Financial Engineering”. He is certified by the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF) and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst certified by the CFA Institute.
