Third-party distribution: net inflow of 2.9 billion euros for Groupama Asset Management from external clients in the first quarter of 2017

The assets under management of Groupama Asset Management stood at 99 billion euros on 31 March 2017, benefiting from the extra impetus of 2.9 billion euros inflow from external clients during the first quarter of 2017.

The robust influx of subscriptions and the high performance delivered by our management teams confirm that the direction of the company’s development strategy over the last few years has been correct, with its choice to diversify not only target client classes but also geographical locations.

Internationally, the company’s development on the Spanish market is intensifying, especially in the third-party distribution segment, with inflow of 70 million euros as of 31 March 2017, bringing the total inflow on this market to 1.1 billion euros.  In Italy, overall inflow stands at 8.4 billion euros, with 3.7 billion euros currently derived from clients external to the Groupama Group.

The overall inflow in this first quarter has been sustained by keen interest in the main areas of expertise of Groupama AM, including small and mid-cap European equities, which brought in additional inflow of more than 160 million over the last 3 months, and the company’s various cash equivalent solutions.
